Péter Eötvös’ masterpiece Tri Sestri is one of the most important operas of our time. Since Lyon premiere 1997, it has become one of the most played contemporary music operas. In many countries of the world several productions reached more than a hundred performances. Wiener Staatsoper presented the opera in the 2016/17 season with a spectacular, new production.
