Transparent Sound 2018

If two people do the same thing, is it the same? If they do different things, is there anything identical in what they are doing? How much is the same in different things, and how much difference is there in identical things? Do ears today hear things the same way as an ear centuries ago heard what could be heard then? Does the ear hear what the eye sees?

How much time does all this take? Can a sound move, is movement audible?

Is a sentence, a sound, a movement, an artistic form, era, style really translatable into anything else? We look for practical answers to these theoretical questions at the fifth Transparent Sound Festival for New Music. Scores of the pieces performed will be available to all interested in a reading corner at BMC Library.
